An Introduction!
Hi! I’m Kara, but you can also call me Kara Rose, Nico Nico Rose, whatevs there floats your boat. I’m a musician and writer, a fan of idols and Love Live specifically and games and anime and girly kei fashion.
If you know me from writing, it’s likely because of Love Live! New Melody Project!!, my Love Live fan fic series. It’s an ongoing series of novel-length fics interspersed with small one-shots, following µ’s and Aqours as adults a decade later with new original younger characters. You can read it on AO3! I’m currently writing season two.
Music-wise, I’m the keyboard player and one of the songwriters of @crystalfurs, an indie pop music project.
I absolutely adore Love Live. I love it all, but I have my favs. I’m a huge, huge Nozomi fangirl (and NozoEli is my favorite ship), and unsurprisingly µ’s is where I got my start and where my deepest love still is, but I am also a fan of the other groups and shows!
I’m a fan of indie, or “chika,” idols in real life, too, and am learning a lot about the underground idol scene and idol culture.
I’m also into other anime besides Love Live - some of my favs are Revue Starlight, Bocchi the Rock, Sakura Trick, New Game!, Comic Girls, The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, Assault Lily, Azumanga Daioh, Laid-Back Camp, Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Lucky Star, Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, and Symphogear.
I mainly talk about Love Live, lesbian anime, and other random things here. Almost entirely SFW, and if I reblog anything NSFW I tag it and mark it w/ the community labels thingy.
I am personally a lesbian, 40, and trans. I use she/her.
“You’re cute when you’re on your bullshit.” - @nothing2seehere420 to me just now
“It is worth remembering that the internet wasn’t supposed to be like this. It wasn’t supposed to be six boring men with too much money creating spaces that no one likes but everyone is forced to use because those men have driven every other form of online existence into the ground. The internet was supposed to have pockets, to have enchanting forests you could stumble into and dark ravines you knew better than to enter. The internet was supposed to be a place of opportunity, not just for profit but for surprise and connection and delight. Instead, like most everything American enterprise has promised held some new dream, it has turned out to be the same old thing—a dream for a few, and something much more confining for everyone else.”
